L-Lysine:

According to the different volume of different regions, the market price of 98% is 6.3-6.8 yuan/kg(US$ 0.89-0.96/kg), the market price of 70% is 4.1-4.4 yuan/kg(US$ 0.58-0.62/kg), the cost of raw materials is rising, the price of lysine is low, and the loss of manufacturers is aggravated. Zhou Yipin manufacturers 98 content quoted 6.4 yuan/kg(US$ 0.9/kg), slightly higher than before, 70 content is stable, pig feed demand is picking up, 98 recent lysine transactions have improved, supply pressure depends, lysine market low, finishing slightly stronger.

 

Export status: According to customs statistics, in August 2019, China's exports of lysine and lysine salts and esters were 5.06 million tons, up 40.7% year-on-year and 17.4% month-on-month. In the past two years, the domestic lysine amplification capacity was released, and the price of lysine was low. In August 2019, the lysine export price was US$925/ton, down 13.4% year-on-year. From January to August of 2019, China’s lysine exports to Europe, Asia and Africa and some countries in the Americas remained at a high level. The top eight countries that exported more than 10,000 tons were the Netherlands, Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, the United States, Canada, Lithuania, and Japan. Among them, the export volume to the Netherlands was the highest, at 53,000 tons, and the export volume to Thailand increased by 112,000 tons, an increase of 121%. From January to August of 2019, China's lysine salt and ester exports a total of 380,000 tons, an increase of 47.8%.

 

DL-Methionine:

According to the different volume of different regions, the market price range is mostly 18.2-19 yuan/kg(US$ 2.56-2.68/kg). On October 9th, the market news said that the price of Evonik Methionine was raised to 19.5 yuan/kg(US$ 2.75/kg), and the market price rose slightly. According to market news, Xinhecheng resumed production, and the methionine anti-dumping hearing ended. It is expected that the preliminary ruling results will be released in December, the market fever will decline, the short-term market will be consolidated, and the methionine import volume in the fourth quarter may be affected.

 

Import status: According to customs statistics, in August 2019, China imported 155,000 tons of solid methionine products, an increase of 1,854 tons, a decrease of 5,708 tons. The unit price of imports was US$2.15/kg, up 13.8% year-on-year and 5.9% quarter-on-quarter. In August 2019, China exported 1,456 tons of methionine. From January to August, China exported a total of 22,200 tons of methionine, down 19.8% year-on-year. The Ministry of Commerce initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imported methionine (methionine) originating in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan from April 10, 2019. In September, the Ministry of Commerce announced that the methionine anti-dumping hearing will be held on October 10. In August 2019, China imported methionine, of which 6860 tons were imported from Evonik, 3280 tons from Sumitomo, and 1,813 tons from CJ. From January to August 2019, China's methionine imports totaled 130,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25%.

 

L-Threonine:

The market of threonine is stable and organized. According to different brands and different volumes, the domestic market price is mostly at 6.5-7.0 yuan/kg(US$ 0.92-0.99/kg). The price has been sluggish for a long time, the factory operating rate has decreased, and the logistics cost has increased recently. The domestic farming demand has improved from the previous month. This week, the market reported that the Yishen manufacturer has a price of 6.6 yuan/kg(US$ 0.93/kg), and the threonine market is stable and strong. According to customs statistics, in August 2019, China exported 31,700 tons of threonine products, down 11.3% year-on-year, down 17.5% from the previous month. >From January to August 2019, China exported a total of 318,600 tons of threonine, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%.
